What is the capillary motion ?
It is the capillary rise of water from the footings of the building into the foundation walls. When the material is porous, the water flows much easier and the problem will be aggravated over time.
This phenomenon will occur mainly in old houses which are not equipped with a crawl space. The rising damp would create white saltpetre and in some cases, causes the appearance of mould or even moss. If this happens, one has to proceed to an injection drying system.
